Feel the Pressure!!
Hailing from the Virgin Islands, Pressure relaeses his first major Album "love and affection" on Don Corleone Records. Pressure "buss pipe" did release an album last year on the Star Lion Family label entitled "The Pressure is on" which was recieved well, but didnt' reach the masses it should have.
Now with major backing and worldwide distribution, Pressure is definetly going to be heard aroound the world. Already having a #1 single with "Love and Affection" this album looks to be an early contender for best album of the year.
The Album has 16 tracks in total and most of them are bound to be hits. The opening track "Bless the children" is one of the strongest tracks on the playlist, and one of my favourite. In fact the first 6 tracks are concious reggae at it's best. You can't do much better then "Ghetto Life", "Love and Affection", Touch the Sky", "Hear my cry", and "Be Free", now this is the
way to start an album. With 16 tracks there is bound to be some throw away tunes, but on here, there is only 3 of them. Pressure tries a few dancehall tunes here, which are some of weaker tunes on the album. Songs like "Boogeyman" and "Never fall" just never clicked.
Overall, this is a must have album, you will definetly be hearing much more from Pressure throughout the year. Pick this one up as soon as you can and feel the "PRESSURE". overall 8/10.
